Request to Volunteer

What You’ll Need Before Volunteering

Before getting started, there’s just one small step to help us stay organized and communicate clearly. The Philosopher’s House uses a WhatsApp Community to coordinate each committee, share schedules, and send out requests for help. It allows us to communicate quickly while respecting everyone’s time and availability.

To volunteer, you’ll need:

  • A WhatsApp account

  • A phone number connected to that account

You’ll only receive messages related to your committee, and you’re always free to mute notifications or step back as needed. Once you’re set up, you’ll be added to the appropriate committee group, where you can stay informed and choose when and how you’d like to help. It’s our way of keeping things simple, transparent, and community-focused.

New to WhatsApp? No problem—we’re happy to help you. Click here learn how to install it and create an account.

Programming Committee Volunteer

“I’ve loved volunteering on the Programming Committee. From teaching to leading fireside chats and starting the Drawing and Tea Social, it’s been a rewarding to help small communities grow inside the House. I was surprised by how easy it was to get started, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys bringing people together around shared interests.”
