Ukrainian Language and Culture Class

Hi everyone! My name is Alisa, and I am passionate about learning and teaching languages. I speak three languages, and English is my third one!

I was born and raised in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and moved to the United States at the age of 19 to start a new chapter of my life after the invasion of my country. I love the beautiful nature and the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere of Tennessee.

Since moving here, many people have asked me to teach them Ukrainian. Some want to learn the basics, while others hope to continue learning over time—so here I am!

In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of the Ukrainian language, including essential vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday phrases. By the end of the course, you will be able to communicate at a basic level, hold simple conversations with Ukrainian speakers, and gain a deeper understanding of Ukraine’s culture and history.

Cost: Food/beverage purchases OR 5.00 donation to teahouse nonprofit to support the space and help us continue to offer special programming like this.
