I lost or forgot an item in the house. What do I do?
Misplacing something can be stressful—we’re happy to help. If you think you may have left an item with us, there are a couple of easy ways to check:

Email us, and we’ll look for it and get back to you as soon as we can.

Stop by during our open hours, and we’ll be glad to check for you in person.
If your request is time-sensitive, emailing us is usually the quickest way to receive a response.
Can I start a class or meetup at The Philosopher's House?
Yes, you can. To get started in creating a class or meetup at The Philosopher’s House, simply use the form above and make sure to include the topic, a description, your name, email and a phone number you can be reached at.
Is The Philosopher’s House a teahouse or community space?
Both! We are a nonprofit community space with a tea counter, programming, and gathering areas focused on philosophy, arts, culture, and civic dialogue.

Do you rent rooms for private events?
Yes! We do rent rooms for private events such as meetings, classes, workshops, parties, and other gatherings.
Please email for all details and to check availability for any and all reservations.
Classroom: A flexible indoor space that is ideal for workshops, lectures, parties, meetings, and classes. Holds approximately 25 people seated at tables and 35 theater style without tables. Classroom is upstairs at the teahouse and therefore not wheelchair accessible. Regular rate is 100.00 for first hour and 50.00 per hour thereafter.
Courtyard: Open outdoor space with deck perfect for receptions, live music, and social events (weather permitting) and can accommodate 75+ people. Regular rate is 250.00 for first hour and 50.00 per hour thereafter.
Whole House: When we are closed, the entire teahouse can be rented for weddings, parties, retreats, or other multi-room events. 1200.00 for a four hour block.
Smaller side rooms upstairs: On occasion we have additional small rooms (Drawing room or Parlor) available at lower rates for much smaller groups (10-12 max). Regular rate 25.00 per hour
We have special rates for community groups and nonprofits that are greatly reduced. Activity must be in service of the community group or nonprofit. Private parties are at regular rates above.
We also offer a discount for all active members of the teahouse.
