February 15 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Storytelling Futurism Liberation Workshop

Telling Stories That Matter: Cultivating Our Stories to Meet This Moment

We are living in a time of profound upheaval. Many of us are carrying grief, concern, and uncertainty, feelings that can be overwhelming and frightening. And yet, history reminds us that moments of deep turmoil have often given rise to transformative movements, opening possibilities once thought unimaginable.

This workshop begins from that tension: struggle and renewal existing side by side.

Through guided dialogue, participatory storytelling, and collective reflection, we will explore questions such as:

  • What does “showing up for one another” look like in practice?
  • How do we move from individual angst to collective action?
  • What stories of change, bold or subtle, do we want to see take root in our communities?
  • How do we strengthen our collective power and stand for the people, places, and causes we love?

We will approach storytelling as futurism, imagining the story of change we want for ourselves and our community. Trauma and turmoil may shape our narratives, but they do not define them. Stories of fear and pain can also be transformed into stories of power, hope, and renewal.
