DESCRIPTION:Come practice Japanese! This immersive group includes native English-speaking community members\, native Japanese-speaking community members\, and ETSU students in the Japanese language program. No expectations\, just a relaxed time to practice your Japanese! While group members have varying levels of Japanese proficiency\, all conversation will be in Japanese only\, no English allowed!\n\nLocation: The Meditation Room\, 2nd floor \nMaterials Required: None\, conversation-level proficiency in Japanese \nTime: First Thursday each month\,  5-6pm \nCost: $5 suggested donation at tea counter or support with drink/food purchase. \nHow to register: Drop-in only. DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone! My name is Alisa\, and I am passionate about learning and teaching languages. I speak three languages\, and English is my third one! \nI was born and raised in Kharkiv\, Ukraine\, and moved to the United States at the age of 19 to start a new chapter of my life after the invasion of my country. I love the beautiful nature and the peaceful\, relaxed atmosphere of Tennessee. \nSince moving here\, many people have asked me to teach them Ukrainian. Some want to learn the basics\, while others hope to continue learning over time—so here I am! \nIn this class\, you will learn the fundamentals of the Ukrainian language\, including essential vocabulary\, pronunciation\, and everyday phrases.
