DESCRIPTION:Create Appalachia Announces Fall 2026 Avante Creative Entrepreneur Boot Camp \nCreate Appalachia is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2026 Avante Creative Entrepreneur Boot Camp\, a hands-on business development program designed specifically for artists\, makers\, designers\, performers\, culinary entrepreneurs\, digital creators\, and other creative professionals. \nSupported by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission\, the boot camp recognizes that creative businesses face unique challenges not addressed by traditional business education. Participants will gain practical tools for pitching their business\, pricing their work\, understanding finances\, marketing effectively\, building customer relationships\, and creating sustainable business models. \nThe Fall 2026 program includes three in-person sessions at Philosopher’s House\, 117 W. Fairview Ave. in Johnson City. Here’s your invitation to take a break\, step out of the rat race\, and return to your body. Coming Home to Coherence is a heart-centered somatic journey that invites you to pause\, drop into your body\, and return to your natural state of peace and safety. This workshop aims to empower you to step into coherence\, harmonizing your heart\, mind\, and nervous-system for mental and emotional well-being. This is not just a quick meditation check-in; it is an experiential immersion using body-based techniques to bridge the gap between your mind and your heart. \nWhat to Expect: Through gentle\, heart-centered body-based practices\, you will become aware of your body’s sensations and learn to communicate directly with your nervous system and your heart’s field using the language of the body. \nTogether\, we will explore:\n-Heart-centered Coherent Breathing: Science-backed breath to halt the body’s fight-or-flight response.\n-Somatic Tracking: Guided internal awareness to safely release stored emotional tension.\n-Heart-Focused Attention: Somatic techniques to connect with the heart and foster gratitude and self-compassion. DESCRIPTION:Sign ups start at 6:15pm \n Theme: TBD\n(Note: your story does not have to fit into the theme of community but if you are looking for a creative challenge\, feel free to try and match the theme!)\n\nStep into an evening of stories with local storytellers at our brand-new Open Mic series\, hosted in our cozy living room space for community\, creativity\, and connection. From 6:30 to 8:00PM\, we invite storytellers to take the mic for 5–7 minute slots. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or taking your first leap\, this is a welcoming space to share your voice. \n Sign-up opens at 6:15 PM\, so come early and grab your spot. Each evening also features a 20-minute set by a featured storyteller\, offering a deeper dive into the power of narrative to connect and inspire.
