SUMMARY:Coming Home to Coherence: a heart-centered somatic journey (registration required)
DESCRIPTION:Coming Home to Coherence: a heart-centered somatic journey \nDo you feel like you are constantly stuck in your head\, running on empty\, disconnected from your own alignment and inner peace? Here’s your invitation to take a break\, step out of the rat race\, and return to your body. Coming Home to Coherence is a heart-centered somatic journey that invites you to pause\, drop into your body\, and return to your natural state of peace and safety. This workshop aims to empower you to step into coherence\, harmonizing your heart\, mind\, and nervous-system for mental and emotional well-being. This is not just a quick meditation check-in; it is an experiential immersion using body-based techniques to bridge the gap between your mind and your heart. \nWhat to Expect: Through gentle\, heart-centered body-based practices\, you will become aware of your body’s sensations and learn to communicate directly with your nervous system and your heart’s field using the language of the body. \nTogether\, we will explore:\n-Heart-centered Coherent Breathing: Science-backed breath to halt the body’s fight-or-flight response.\n-Somatic Tracking: Guided internal awareness to safely release stored emotional tension.\n-Heart-Focused Attention: Somatic techniques to connect with the heart and foster gratitude and self-compassion. This shifts power away from anxious thoughts and down into the physical body.\n-Resonant Movement: Gentle movements designed to open the chest\, release the shoulders\, and soften the protective armor around the heart. -Restorative Integration: A closing somatic practice to help lock in your newly cultivated state of peace.\n\n\nHow to register:  visit https://www.refugelifeservices.com/currentservices and scroll down to “Coming Home to Coherence.” Payment is taken upon registering online. Spots are limited to keep this an intimate experience \nCost: 30.00 per person \nLocation: Classroom/meditation space\, 2nd floor \nWhat to bring:  While mats are provided\, please bring a towel. You’ll want to wear loose or flexible comfortable clothing. \nIs This Workshop For You? \nThis nervous system and trauma-informed space led by Somatic Practitioner and Coach Kate Brennan is open to anyone looking to deepen their self-care practice. It will be especially supportive if you are navigating stress\, feeling disconnected or “stuck in your head\,” seeking tools for emotional regulation\, and you are ready to cultivate a deeper\, gentler relationship with yourself and reestablish inner peace! Beginners are welcome.\n. \nBio: \nKate Brennan is a Somatic Practitioner and Mental Health & Trauma Recovery Coach\, founder of Refuge Life Services. She has spent eighteen years supporting individuals on their healing journeys. She approaches her work through a holistic lens and is passionate about providing empowering\, neurodiversity-affirming services. Prior to coaching\, Kate spoke around the world and worked with nonprofits serving at-risk communities. When she’s not coaching or leading somatic practices\, she is usually exploring local coffee shops or enjoying nature and a cup of tea with her kitty companion\, Sage.
