DESCRIPTION:Sign ups start at 6:15pm \n Theme: TBD\n(Note: your story does not have to fit into the theme of community but if you are looking for a creative challenge\, feel free to try and match the theme!)\n\nStep into an evening of stories with local storytellers at our brand-new Open Mic series\, hosted in our cozy living room space for community\, creativity\, and connection. From 6:30 to 8:00PM\, we invite storytellers to take the mic for 5–7 minute slots. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or taking your first leap\, this is a welcoming space to share your voice. \n Sign-up opens at 6:15 PM\, so come early and grab your spot. Each evening also features a 20-minute set by a featured storyteller\, offering a deeper dive into the power of narrative to connect and inspire. DESCRIPTION: Tim had a conflict in schedule that will prevent him from joining us on Sunday. Be sure to check out his tour schedule to catch him live sometime! \nTim Husk is a Virginia-based singer-songwriter (originally from Durham\, NC)\, multi-instrumentalist\, and founder of the Awen Family Band\, a nationally touring world boogie collective that has featured members of Toubab Krewe\, Big Something\, FRUTE\, Dr. Bacon and many other acts across the country since 2019. \nTim blends folk\, Celtic\, bluegrass\, old time\, West and North African\, and funk influences on acoustic guitar and tenor banjo to create his own unique original sound and landscape for the songs to come through on.
