DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Fall Equinox with us! \nJoin us for an evening together\, honoring the changing season\, focused on shared experiences\, healing arts\, learning\, and community connection. One low ticket price (supporting the teahouse nonprofit) gets you into a variety of performances\, workshops\, and art/craft time. After the scheduled offerings\, we will gather in the courtyard for a drop-in hang out around the firepit with live music by (TBD) \nSupport the teahouse\, honor the mid-way point between summer/winter solstice\, enjoy community harmony\, and delicious tea with us during this special Monday night programming! \nHow to register: Purchase ticket here https://square.link/u/TaqbgAMY \nCost: 15.00 per person\, all inclusive other than food/beverage purchases \nOrganizer: Ren at thephilosophershouse@gmail.com \nFall equinox event schedule of events: \n4:30pm Intro to Somatic workshop with Kate Brennan\, classroom (first-come\, first-served\, line up at classroom door) \n5:30pm Herb workshop with Phil from Herbalachia\, classroom\nIn this session open to all with any level of experience or interest in herbalism we will consider this time of year. Equinox is the beginning of autumn and the balance of day and night\, light and dark. So let’s consider herbs that have a special resonance for this time of year\, as well as looking at local seasonal herbs and the idea of living with the seasons. \n6:15pm Fall/equinox themed storytelling and poetry\, living room. Vianna Isbister\, Kayla Nichols\, and Emily Katt. \n6:30pm Sound bath with Morgan Tao on Vibraphone\, classroom (first-come\, first-served\, line up at classroom door) \nOngoing from 4:30-7:30pm: Art project table with Susan Lachman\, Tisane tasting (goodies from the teahouse garden)\, Ageless Integrative Medicine (Teaching about “food facials”…wonderful facials you can do at home using ingredients easily accessible at the grocery store)\, Mulberry Mobile Nursery (get your fall plants)\, and more…. \nAll of the above are included in your ticket price. We hope you’ll stay for the drop-in community gathering in the courtyard afterwards as well. Come for one\, or both! \n7:30pm Courtyard Stargazing (no ticket needed): Live music\, S’mores\, BYOW and snacks community event \nBring your own wine and finger food if you wish (optional) and we will have the S’mores fixings out (donation based\, suggested 5.00) with the firepit going. Live music with Elephants Asleep until 9:00pm \nInvite your friends and family for a night of seasonal celebration and community gathering! \nAbout the band:\nElephants Asleep is a four-part appalachian indie/ folk group made up of best friends. While taking inspiration from songwriters like Leonard Cohen\, Adrianne Lenker\, and Conor Oberst\, what holds this music together is its soulful yet playful acoustic instrumentation. Elephants Asleep is both gentle and raucous\, charged with heart and warmth.
