DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning how to sing?\nAre you a singer who is interested in vocal tips and tricks?\nDoes someone you know\, adult or child\, have an interest in singing? \nJoin us Thursday\, April 9th\, at 6pm for a reading of RAINBOW ROAD: THE LITTLE BOOK OF SINGING. Rainbow Road is an illustrated board book of 14 visual metaphors used to describe vocal technique. Written and compiled by Jamie Buxton and illustrated by Chelsey Hill\, Rainbow Road is sure to delight singers and aspiring singers from children to adults! \nHow to register: Drop-in\n\n\nCost: No charge for event. Food/drink purchases encouraged to support nonprofit teahouse. Book will be available for purchase/signing. \nLocation: Living room/Fireplace\, 1st floor \nJamie Buxton is an adjunct professor of voice for musical theatre students at East Tennessee State University\, and she has also taught voice and musical theatre at Milligan University\, New York Broadway Training Programs (Bay Area\, CA)\, The Studio for Performing Arts (New Canaan\, CT)\, and the Professional Conservatory for Musical Theatre at New York Film Academy (New York\, NY). Locally\, she has sung with the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra\, the Milligan Orchestra\, and St. John’s Episcopal Church. Jamie is a veteran musical theatre performer of national and international tours\, off-Broadway\, regional theatre\, and cruise ships. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and a collector of whimsical and helpful visual images metaphors to inspire breakthroughs in the vocal studio. \nJoin us Thursday\, April 9th at 6pm for a reading of RAINBOW ROAD: THE LITTLE BOOK OF SINGING.
